TRADITIONAL INSTITUTION: Management of Adamawa State University Pays Congratulatory Visit to Ptil Madagali and Mbuge Ka Michika.

The 10th Internal Council and Expanded Management of Adamawa State University, Mubi, led by Dr. Stephen A. Lagu, commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the creation of additional Emirates and Chiefdoms in Adamawa State. They described this move as a demonstration of fairness in leadership, which grants native ethnic groups in the state greater autonomy in managing their affairs and helps mitigate conflicts in their regions.

This recognition was highlighted during a congratulatory visit to the Michika and Madagali chiefdoms, as both traditional rulers have been actively associated with the university.

The recent establishment of new Emirates and Chiefdoms in Adamawa State has provided significant relief and freedom to the native population. This was evident in the warm welcome extended to Ptil Madagali, HRH Dr. Ali Danburam, and Mbuge Ka Michika, HRH Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga.

The visit by the 10th Internal Council and Expanded Management of Adamawa State University, led by Dr. Stephen A. Lagu, began at the palace of the Paramount Ruler, Mbuge Ka Michika, HRH Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga, who is also a former staff member of the university.

The acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Stephen A. Lagu, highlighted the royal father as a young, vibrant, and resourceful leader whose contributions were significantly felt at the university. The decision by the Adamawa State Government, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, appointed to this position, was deemed an excellent choice to address the needs of the Kamwe and the entire Michika community.

HRH Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga expressed his gratitude to the Expanded Management and the 10th Internal Council of Adamawa State University for their support of the Michika Chiefdom. He assured them of an open-door policy for all.

He called on all Michika sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, to lend more support to the government to foster further development in Michika and the state at large.

Professor Bulus Luka Gadiga, Mbuge Ka Michika, is a founding staff member of Adamawa State University, Mubi, and has risen through the ranks to become a professor of Geography.

Following this, the university team visited the palace of Ptil Madagali, HRH Dr. Ali Danburam, who is also an External Council Member of the university. During this visit, the university leadership congratulated him on ascending to the throne and encouraged him to promote peace and development in his chiefdom.

In response, Ptil Madagali, HRH Dr. Ali Danburam, thanked the leadership of Adamawa State University, Mubi, for their congratulatory visit. He promised to apply his wealth of experience and resources to uphold the fundamental principles of cultural heritage: peace, unity, justice, and development.

The university leadership presented congratulatory letters to both kings, wishing them success as they assumed their roles in continuing the legacy of their predecessors.
