The distribution of fertiliser by Usoko Ken Supule to APC executives and members of his campaign team is generating growing interest across Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Local Government Areas of Adamawa State, combining agricultural support with increased grassroots political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Supule, who was among the aspirants seeking to represent the Numan/Demsa/Lamurde Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections, has made support for agriculture a key component of his engagement with party structures and communities across the constituency.
The fertiliser intervention comes at a critical period for farmers, many of whom continue to grapple with the rising cost of agricultural inputs and the challenges of sustaining production.
By providing fertiliser through APC executives and his campaign network, the initiative is expected to strengthen access to essential farm inputs while supporting farming activities at the grassroots.
Supporting Agriculture, Strengthening Communities
Agriculture remains one of the major economic activities across Numan, Demsa and Lamurde, providing livelihoods for a large proportion of households.
For farmers, access to fertiliser can play an important role in improving soil productivity and supporting better harvests. The intervention is therefore being presented by supporters as more than a political gesture, with its immediate focus on strengthening agricultural production and household livelihoods.

The initiative also has the potential to stimulate wider economic activities, as increased farm production benefits traders, transporters, processors and other businesses connected to the agricultural value chain.
A New Dimension to Grassroots Mobilisation
Beyond agriculture, the fertiliser distribution is equally galvanising political support for the APC across the constituency.
The grassroots network established around the initiative is reportedly helping to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Adamawa State APC governorship hopeful Tijjani Galadima, and APC candidates seeking election to the National and State Assemblies in 2027.
For the party, the intervention provides an avenue to deepen engagement with rural communities while communicating its political message through an issue that directly affects the daily lives of constituents.
Supule’s supporters argue that initiatives targeted at farmers can create a stronger connection between political leadership and the economic realities of rural communities.
Agriculture at the Centre of the 2027 Conversation
The development also highlights the growing importance of agriculture in the political conversation ahead of the 2027 elections.
With Numan, Demsa and Lamurde possessing significant agricultural potential, stakeholders say the constituency requires sustained investment in farm inputs, irrigation, mechanisation, storage, processing, affordable financing and access to markets.
The fertiliser distribution represents one intervention within that broader agricultural agenda. Its longer-term significance will depend on whether such support can contribute to increased productivity and improved livelihoods for farming families.
As political activities intensify, Supule’s initiative is positioning agriculture and grassroots empowerment as central themes of his political engagement.

For the APC, it is also providing an opportunity to connect its campaign for the 2027 elections with tangible community-level support, while strengthening its structures behind President Tinubu, Tijjani Galadima and the party’s National and State Assembly candidates.
Ultimately, the initiative reflects the intersection of agriculture, grassroots empowerment and political mobilisation—three issues likely to remain central to the political and development conversation across Numan, Demsa and Lamurde as the 2027 elections draw closer.
