
The Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, has extended his congratulations to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on the occasion of his sixth anniversary in office.
In a message released through his Yola media office and shared with newsmen on Thursday, Senator Abbas, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Innovation, Science, and Technology, referred to Fintiri as the architect of New Adamawa.
Senator Abbas commended the security measures implemented by Governor Fintiri, describing them as a commendable effort to enhance the safety of lives and property across all levels of society, emphasizing that security is a collective responsibility.
He noted that during Governor Fintiri’s six years in office, there has been significant infrastructural development throughout the state. He cited examples such as the ongoing construction of additional flyovers at strategic locations, the establishment of an ultra-modern Jimeta shopping complex, and the creation of an International Conference and Events Center in the state.
Furthermore, he praised the Governor for implementing the national minimum wage of 70,000 naira for both state and local government employees, which has improved the welfare of civil servants and retirees. He also highlighted the administration’s efforts to launch people-oriented projects.
Senator Abbas expressed that the patriotism demonstrated by Governor Fintiri’s administration is a positive indicator of better days ahead, instilling hope in the people of the state for good governance.
While praying for God’s protection and guidance for the Governor in his mission to enhance the welfare of the people through a commitment to prosperity, Aminu Iya Abbas reiterated the commitment of critical stakeholders to continue supporting the Governor in achieving unity, peace, and development in the state.
