A major political development unfolded within the Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Comrade Salihu Mustapha and Tijjani Galadima held a closed-door meeting just hours after Mustapha stepped down from the governorship race to support Galadima ahead of the party’s primary election.
The meeting, which took place amid growing political realignments within the party, is believed to be part of efforts aimed at strengthening unity among supporters and consolidating political structures ahead of the crucial contest.
Sources close to the meeting disclosed that discussions centered on party cohesion, strategies for the forthcoming primary election, and the need to present a united front capable of positioning the APC for victory in the state.
Comrade Salihu Mustapha, who recently announced his withdrawal from the race, had declared his support for Tijjani Galadima, describing the decision as one taken in the broader interest of the party and the future of Adamawa State.
Although details of the closed-door discussions were not officially made public, party insiders hinted that both leaders emphasized reconciliation, collaboration, and collective responsibility as key factors needed to avoid division within the party.
