Mr. Innocent Koto, the Council Chairman of Numan, has urged Christians within the Numan local government area, as well as those globally, to foster love and unity among one another, emulating the example set by Jesus Christ.
This statement was made by Mr. Koto in conjunction with the observance of Good Friday and the Easter period, which hold profound significance in the Christian faith.
In his remarks, Mr. Koto emphasized the teachings of Jesus Christ, calling upon citizens to extend love to one another and to share their resources with marginalized individuals in society. He articulated that Jesus voluntarily sacrificed Himself for the healing of the world rather than for its demise.
Mr. Koto particularly encouraged Christians to reflect upon the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, recognizing these events as central to promoting peaceful coexistence and interpersonal love.
The Numan Council Chairman also extended his congratulations to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, the Hamma Bachama, Dr. Daniel Isma’ila Shaga, and all relevant stakeholders, as well as the Christian community in Numan and throughout Adamawa State, on the occasion of Good Friday and Easter.
Moreover, Mr. Koto reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing security in alignment with Governor Fintiri’s policies aimed at safeguarding the well-being of the citizenry.
He reported that under his leadership, the Numan Council area has achieved a relative state of peace, facilitated by collaborative efforts with security forces and local vigilante groups, which have allowed residents to enjoy a sense of safety—a notable improvement from previous times when safety concerns were prevalent.
Mr. Koto attributed these advancements to the initiatives of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration in Adamawa State.
