Bishop Mamza Receives Honor from the Gamu Community

The Gamu community in the Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State has recognized Bishop Dami Mamza of the Catholic Diocese of Yola by bestowing upon him a new Chamba name, Su’uneksiri, which translates to “God has honoured us with correction.”
In a meaningful ceremony, Bishop Mamza was dressed in traditional Chamba attire, an act that drew admiration and respect from guests, community leaders, and supporters present at the event.
The honour was presented by His Royal Highness, Aliyu Yusuf Manga, the Gangwari of Dakka, alongside the Gara of Kungana, Theophilus Abubakar Ahmadu, both esteemed leaders from the Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Patricia, a representative of the Gamu community, expressed the community’s gratitude by highlighting the Bishop’s unwavering commitment to serving both God and humanity.
She remarked, “As a community, we recognize the profound impact you have on the lives of people across Adamawa State, regardless of their religion, tribe, or region. Your efforts are truly appreciated.”
