ABC BROADCAST: Dep. Gov. Farauta directs the installation of studio equipment.

The Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta has directed for the immediate installation of the newly procured transmitter and studio equipment for Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation, ABC, Yola.
This followed the arrival of the equipment which are readily available at the station.
She gave the directive Tuesday while on an inspection tour at both the Broadcasting and transmission houses of the corporation.
Deputy Governor Farauta who expressed dissatisfaction with the placement of the equipment outside, thereby exposing them to scorching sun and rain, said such unhealthy posture cannot be tolerated.
She reiterated state government commitment to connect the station to thirty three KVA with the Power Holding Company to facilitate for constant power supply to the station.
Similarly, Professor Farauta maintained that the Chief of Staff, Government House, will follow up with the issue to actualize the plan in order to elude lip service.
The Deputy Governor assured that the station is being rejigged, reinvigorated and revamped for optimal operationalization which transmission will hence forth traverse all corners of the state and environs.
Meanwhile, Professor Kaletapwa has stressed the need for increased and more serious tree planting in the state by individuals to ameliorate the effect of climate change taking an adverse toll on the people.
In this direction, the Deputy Governor particularly directed management and staff of ABC, Yola to individually plant tree at the corporation upon receipt of the seedlings by the Management from Acreasal office.
This is with a view to protecting the building structure of the station from windstorm in which the equipment will be installed.
She urged staff of the station to be protective of the equipment at all times, an action she described as capable of elongating the lifespan of the equipment.
The Deputy Governor was in company of the Chief of staff Dr. Doctor Edgar Sunday Amos, Commissioner of Information and strategy, Mr. Iliya James and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mr. Solomon Kumanga among others.
