The PDP governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, has continued his consultations with traditional rulers, visiting the Lamido Funange and the Murum Mbula ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Vunobolki first visited the palace of the Lamido Funange, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Ahmadu Ribadu, in Fufore, where he sought the monarch’s prayers and goodwill.
He assured the traditional institution of his commitment to inclusive governance and promised to place the needs of communities at the centre of his administration.
The Lamido Funange welcomed the delegation and prayed for Vunobolki’s success, while urging politicians and their supporters to maintain peace throughout the campaign and electoral process.
The PDP candidate later proceeded to Borong in Demsa Local Government Area, where he paid homage to the Murum Mbula, His Royal Majesty Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo, Mboiman II. He highlighted the challenges facing riverine communities, particularly poor road networks and inadequate water transportation.
Vunobolki pledged to give such communities greater attention, stressing the need to improve access to essential services and economic opportunities. The Murum Mbula described him as a worthy son of the chiefdom and prayed for him, his running mate, Alhaji Abubakar Mahmud Wambai, and the campaign team.
The visits are part of Vunobolki’s ongoing consultations across Adamawa State, through which he is engaging traditional institutions and communities ahead of the 2027 election.
