ABBO LOSES AS LABOUR PARTY LEADERS BACK VUNOBOLKI.

The Labour Party leadership in Yola North has shifted its support to the PDP Governorship Candidate, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, PhD, FCA, in a move seen as a setback to Senator Elisha Abbo.
The LP delegation, led by the party’s Yola North Chairman, Joshua Samuel, and Women Leader, Philomina Christopher Justine, paid a solidarity visit to the Vunobolki/Wambai Campaign Organisation in Yola on Friday.
The party leaders said they carefully assessed the political landscape and concluded that Vunobolki remains the most qualified and credible choice to lead Adamawa State.
They expressed confidence that their political aspirations and those of their supporters would be better protected under the PDP platform, promising to mobilise other Labour Party executive members and supporters across the 21 local government areas.
Receiving the delegation, Vunobolki and his Campaign Council welcomed the development and assured the defecting Labour Party leaders of inclusion in the campaign and electioneering process.
The PDP candidate pledged a government focused on development, empowerment and shared progress for the people of Adamawa.
