
The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, Ambassador Engineer Omar Suleiman Omarana, is set to return to the state on Saturday, July 18, 2026, for an official homecoming aimed at launching the next phase of his grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
According to a media advisory issued by the Director General of the Omarana Governorship Campaign Organisation, Elder Mark Wosi, the event will take place at the Omarana Campaign Organisation Office near the Army Barracks in Yola, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The campaign organisation said the homecoming marks the commencement of a renewed political movement focused on hope, unity, inclusive development, and its vision of building an “Adamawa That Works.”
Activities lined up for the event include the official reception of the governorship candidate, a welcome address by campaign officials, a speech by Amb. Engr. Omar Suleiman Omarana, interaction with party supporters and stakeholders, as well as a media interview and photo session.
The organisation has called on journalists and media organisations to arrive by 8:30 a.m. for accreditation and the proper positioning of broadcast equipment.
The campaign described the event as the beginning of a new chapter in its preparations for the 2027 governorship race, under the campaign theme “Adamawa That Works” with the slogan “For Today, For Tomorrow.”
