Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reiterated his administration’s determination to sustain reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business and attracting investments to the state.
The governor made the commitment during the Nationwide Town Hall and State Engagement Tour of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), organized in partnership with the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER), in Yola.
The event brought together key stakeholders from government agencies, the private sector, development partners, and business associations to review progress made in improving the state’s business environment and to identify areas requiring further attention.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Edgar Amos, Governor Fintiri said his administration recognizes the critical role of the private sector in driving economic growth and job creation.
He noted that the government has continued to invest in infrastructure, strengthen security, promote digital innovation, and implement institutional reforms to make Adamawa more attractive to investors.
He emphasized that creating an enabling environment for businesses remains a priority of the administration’s development agenda.
The SABER Focal Person in Adamawa State, Dr. Bello Abubakar Song, praised the government for its commitment to reforms that have enhanced the investment climate.
He said the state has recorded notable achievements in several business-enabling indicators and expressed confidence that ongoing collaboration with PEBEC would yield even greater results.

Representatives of PEBEC Director General, Aimeya Okpebholo commended the state government for embracing reforms designed to improve the business environment. They stressed the need for sustained efforts in reducing bureaucratic obstacles, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and improving service delivery to investors and entrepreneurs.
The town hall featured presentations and panel discussions on issues affecting business growth, including commercial dispute resolution, access to justice, tax harmonization, regulatory efficiency, and investment promotion.
Participants described the engagement as a valuable platform for dialogue between government and the private sector, noting that stronger collaboration would help unlock economic opportunities and position Adamawa as a leading investment destination in Nigeria.

The engagement forms part of ongoing nationwide efforts by PEBEC and SABER to promote reforms that support business growth, improve competitiveness, and accelerate economic development across the country.
