2027 ELECTION Vunobolki Receives Royal Blessings in Guyuk and Shelleng

PDP governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, PhD, FCA, has intensified his engagement with traditional institutions, securing royal blessings during visits to the palaces of the Kwandi Nunguraya in Guyuk and the Amna Shelleng in Shelleng Local Government Area.

Vunobolki, who was accompanied by members of the PDP Campaign Team, paid homage to the Kwandi Nunguraya, HRM Sir Dr. Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, at his palace in Guyuk on Wednesday.

The visit provided an opportunity for the candidate to seek the monarch’s prayers, royal blessings and support, while also requesting permission to take his campaign and message to communities across the Guyuk Chiefdom.

In his response, the Kwandi Nunguraya described Vunobolki as a friend and brother of the chiefdom, noting his contributions to areas including education, healthcare and agriculture.

The monarch subsequently honoured the PDP candidate by decorating him with the traditional sling and shield, regarded as symbols of authority and defence within the Nunguraya Chiefdom. He charged Vunobolki to use the symbols with wisdom as he proceeds with his political journey.

The PDP team later proceeded to Shelleng, where Vunobolki paid a similar courtesy visit to the Amna Shelleng, HRH Alhaji Dr. Abdullahi Isa Dasong II.

Presenting Vunobolki, the Director General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Yerima Adamu Hammantukur Ribadu, spoke about the candidate’s relationship with traditional institutions and communities across Adamawa State.

PDP State Chairman, Engr. Belmond Dogo, said the delegation was at the palace to seek the monarch’s fatherly advice, prayers and royal blessings, while stressing the need for fairness and equity in leadership.

Vunobolki thanked the Amna Shelleng for the reception, describing himself as a son and friend of Shelleng. He appealed for the monarch’s support and blessings and prayed for his continued good health, longevity and peaceful reign.

The Amna Shelleng, in his remarks, thanked God for life and grace, prayed for divine guidance and success for the PDP, and urged Vunobolki to recognise and remain committed to the dedicated team working with him.

The candidate later commissioned the PDP Campaign and Contact Office in Shelleng, further expanding the party’s campaign infrastructure and grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 election.
