Chief Dr. Maurice Vunobolki, PhD, FCA, PDP’s Governorship Aspirant, has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following what he described as a landmark victory at the Supreme Court, describing the judgment as a significant win for democracy, constitutionalism, and political stability in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to the press, in Abuja, Vunobolki said the ruling represents not only a legal triumph for the opposition party but also a broader affirmation of justice and the democratic aspirations of Nigerians.
He extended special commendation to the party leadership, most especially, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the party’s national leader, the National Working Committee (NWC), the National Executive Committee (NEC), the Board of Trustees, and various state structures, particularly the Adamawa State Caretaker Committee, for their roles in sustaining the party through the legal process.
Vunobolki also praised the efforts of the party’s leadership, noting the resilience and commitment demonstrated throughout the period leading to the court’s decision.
“This judgment is a victory for democracy, constitutional order, and party supremacy,” he said, adding that it should serve as a catalyst for renewed unity within the party.
While congratulating party members nationwide, he urged stakeholders to view the development as an opportunity for reconciliation and consolidation ahead of future political engagements.
According to him, the PDP remains “a formidable platform for delivering good governance, social justice, and purposeful leadership to Nigerians.”
He concluded by reaffirming his congratulations to the party and its leadership, expressing optimism about its future direction and cohesion.
