State Lawmaker Sues for Peaceful Coexistence between Farmers and Herders.

The Member representing Song Constituency, who also serves as the chairman of the House Committee on Security, has organized a meeting to promote peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders during the upcoming harvest period.

The meeting, held in Dumne, Song local government area, brought together various stakeholders in the security sector. The aim was to encourage both parties to coexist harmoniously to ensure a peaceful and successful harvest season.

Mr. Emmanuel Kefas emphasized that the meeting was crucial to raise awareness about the importance of peaceful coexistence to prevent recurring conflicts.

As the chairman of the House Committee on Security, he expressed concern about the annual clashes between farmers and herders, which have led to the loss of lives and properties.

Philemon Atombisa, the chairman of the Yungur Development Association, applauded the member for organizing the meeting and expressed hope that it would yield positive results.

Bappa Babaduwa, representing the herders, welcomed the timing of the meeting, as the harvest season is approaching, and described the Yungur land as hospitable for them.

After the meeting, stakeholders emphasized the priceless nature of peaceful coexistence for both parties during this critical period.
