In a solemn and joyful celebration, the Catholic Diocese of Yola witnessed the ordination of four new priests.
The event, which took place at the Cathedral of St. Theresa’s Cathedral, was presided over by Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza.
The newly ordained priests are Rev Fr. John Peter Wild, Rev Fr. Joseph Hyginus, Rev Fr. Robinson Bernard Gutaro, and Rev Fr. Godwin Ibrahim Clement.
The ceremony was marked by deep spiritual fervour as the candidates were called forward to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders. Family members, friends, and the faithful of the Diocese of Yola filled the cathedral to witness this momentous occasion.
Bishop Mamza, in his homily, spoke about the significance of the priesthood as a call to service, emphasizing the importance of humility, sacrifice, and dedication to the spiritual well-being of the community.
