Adamawa State 2027 APC governorship hopeful, Hon. Chief Felix B.Tangwami, paid a strategic visit to the National Headquarters of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) in Kwarhi as part of his ongoing consultations with critical stakeholders across the state.
Chief Tangwami was warmly received by the President of EYN, Rev. Dr. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, alongside other senior church leaders, in what observers describe as a significant engagement between faith-based leadership and political actors ahead of the 2027 governorship race.
Speaking during the visit, Rev. Dr. Mbaya emphasized the need for experienced and capable leadership in Adamawa State, particularly as the tenure of the incumbent governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, gradually winds down. He noted that the state requires a leader who not only understands governance but is also familiar with the complexities of administration and development dynamics.

According to the EYN President, Chief Tangwami’s track record in public service, especially his role under Governor Fintiri, places him in a strong position to take on the responsibilities of leadership. He expressed confidence in Tangwami’s capacity, describing him as “equal to the task” of steering the affairs of Adamawa State.
Rev. Dr. Mbaya further described the Tangwami political movement as “a settlement,” suggesting a unifying force capable of bringing together diverse interests across the state. He assured the governorship aspirant of the church’s continued prayers and moral support, stressing the importance of godly guidance in leadership.
Responding, Chief Tangwami appreciated the warm reception and spiritual encouragement from the EYN leadership, noting that his consultations are driven by a desire to build consensus and foster inclusive governance. He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining and advancing the developmental strides recorded under the current administration, while also introducing policies that would enhance socio-economic growth and improve the welfare of the people.
The visit to the EYN headquarters is part of a broader statewide engagement by the APC aspirant, aimed at interfacing with religious institutions, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and community leaders to garner support and input ahead of the 2027 elections.
Political analysts say such consultations reflect the growing importance of grassroots mobilization and institutional backing in shaping the trajectory of electoral contests in Adamawa State.
