How proud a community can be when they have such a son as Chief (Dr.) Maurice Vunobolki! This sense of pride is what the Bwatiye community across the globe feels as we roll out the drums to celebrate and honour a remarkable man who, against all odds, has dedicated his life to serving humanity.
This honour is not just for the son you are but for the remarkable person you have become. You are a man whose courage inspires, whose integrity uplifts, and whose unwavering sense of honour commands respect worldwide. You are a beacon of strength for the vulnerable, noble in every action, and a leader forged in character.
This is the essence of the honour bestowed upon Chief Maurice Vunobolki by His Royal Majesty Hama Bata Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke (Diyo Shifoto Kpwa-ngashe Tikulo Bata) and the entire Bwatiye Chiefdom. He has been awarded the traditional title of Dyapa Bwatiye for his love for his people and his philanthropic achievements—a demonstration of selflessness, dedication, and commitment to humanity.
The title “Dyapa Bwatiye” reflects the deep respect of the people, recognizing his unwavering commitment to community upliftment, compassion, and the lasting impact he makes as he works to bring home every benefit that belongs to the Bwatiye people, no matter where it resides around the world.
May this honour inspire continued excellence in humanitarian service, particularly for the welfare of the vulnerable in society and the general good of the Bwatiye people and Adamawa State at large.
