Adamàwa State Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has sponsored a one-day, in-house capacity-building training for both junior and senior staff of the Deputy Governor’s office.

The aim is to improve the efficiency and productivity of the workforce.
The capacity-building training involves teaching work-related skills and knowledge to employees to enhance their efficiency and productivity, as well as that of the organization as a whole.

Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta is committed to ensuring that her staff are well-informed about the scheme of service for improved service delivery.

This training, the first of its kind in the Deputy Governor’s office, focuses on ethics and discipline in the civil service to address the current declining workforce, which disregards civil service rules and regulations.

Dr. Linah Markus, the permanent secretary of the Deputy Governor’s office, highlighted the benefits of such training, aiming to equip employees with the necessary civil service knowledge and performance expectations.

The facilitators, Cornelius Dedan Nyari and Muawiya Shuaibu, who are a retired permanent secretary in the state civil service and a subject matter expert on ethics and discipline in civil service, respectively, emphasized the importance of employees performing duties based on their cadre for effective performance.

They also stressed that additional qualifications improve an employee’s capability and emphasized the significance of merit-based promotions as a catalyst for a productive civil service.

The training is expected to enhance dignity and discipline in the civil service, in line with civil service guidelines, for improved productivity.
