Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has strongly condemned recent attacks on communities in Madagali and Hong Local Government Areas, describing the incidents as cowardly acts of terrorism that will not be tolerated.

Reacting to the development, Governor Fintiri warned perpetrators to desist from what he termed “senseless attacks” or face the full weight of the law. He stressed that his administration would not allow terrorists to undermine ongoing efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability across the state.

“We will not let terrorists disrupt the progress we have made in securing our communities. We have done it before, and we are determined to do it again,” the governor said.

He reassured residents of government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, pledging to continue working closely with security agencies to bring those responsible to justice. The governor urged citizens to remain calm and go about their lawful activities without fear.

“We have your back. We will protect you and your livelihoods,” he assured.

Governor Fintiri also commended security agencies for their dedication and bravery in responding to security challenges, promising sustained government support to enhance their operations.

He called on the people of Adamawa to collaborate with government and security forces in the collective fight against terrorism, expressing confidence that the state would overcome the threats and build a more secure and prosperous future.
