HEALTHCARE DELIVERY: Take Heart Family Enhances Healthcare Access by Donating Ambulance to Catholic Diocese of Yola

In a commendable act of generosity, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza, received an ambulance donation from a family working alongside Mission Take Heart, an initiative dedicated to assisting internally displaced people within the diocese.
The donation is particularly significant, as it is intended for use in the eleven camps for internally displaced individuals throughout the Diocese of Yola. Bishop Mamza highlighted that this ambulance will greatly enhance medical care access for those residing in the camps, thus addressing the ongoing challenges faced by rural communities in obtaining necessary healthcare services.
“This ambulance is not just a vehicle; it’s a lifeline for both the sick individuals in the camps and the wider population in the Diocese of Yola, especially those in more remote areas,” noted Bishop Mamza. He expressed his vision for the ambulance to serve as a crucial resource in delivering timely medical assistance.
Additionally, the Bishop shared that Mission Take Heart is committed to further supporting these communities by employing doctors, nurses, and laboratory scientists who will reach out to those in hard-to-access regions, providing essential health care services.
This donation is the second ambulance given to the church from Mission Take Heart, showcasing an admirable commitment to community welfare. Bishop Mamza took this opportunity to encourage affluent individuals to contribute generously to initiatives that support both faith and humanity.
He also called upon parishioners of the Catholic Diocese of Yola to join in prayers for the family that generously donated the ambulance and for the continued success of Mission Take Heart, asking for divine blessings and strength in their endeavours.
The event concluded with a meaningful blessing of the ambulance, underscoring the collaborative spirit of service that aims to uplift the well-being of the community.
