The Numan chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has officially laid the foundation for a modern Secretariat aimed at enhancing its administrative operations.
During the ceremony, the CAN Coordinator for the Numan Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Dean Reverend Esthon Nzolaningyi, praised Barrister Kwamori La’ori for donating the land where the Secretariat will be constructed.
The coordinator encouraged the Christian community to invest in the work of the kingdom, expressing his belief that such contributions would have a positive impact on their lives and families. He stated, “No one invests in God’s business regrets. We assure you that whatever is donated for this project will be used wisely for the benefit of humanity and in service to God.”

Dr. William Kamale, Special Adviser to the Adamawa State Governor, reminisced about his childhood experiences in Numan, particularly the excitement surrounding church programs during Easter, noting how they eagerly attended every service.
Disappointed by what he perceived as a lack of commitment among some Christian believers, Kamale urged the CAN leadership in Numan to reshape their strategies to foster unity and encourage a deeper dedication to serving God. He expressed optimism that the new Secretariat would serve as a focal point for unifying the church and encouraged generous donations to expedite the project’s completion.

Justine Madugu, the Chairman of the Building Committee and Secretary of the CAN Numan Chapter outlined the features of the project, which will include offices for the coordinator, secretary, block leaders, and a meeting hall.
“In the future, we also intend to build a guest house for those visiting Numan for church programs,” he explained.
Madugu emphasized that this project is not only for the residents of Numan but will also serve the broader Numan Federation and the entire state, as Numan is the secretariat district of Adamawa State, which includes five local governments.

He also commended Barrister Kwamori La’ori for generously donating the land for the project, noting that the donor had contributed ten truckloads of sand in addition to a financial pledge made during the groundbreaking ceremony.

The event concluded on a positive note with goodwill messages, as the foundation was laid by State CAN Chairman Rev. Dr. Joel Manzo, represented by State Vice Chairman Rev. Victor Sajeh. Cash donations from various dignitaries, including Barr. Kwamori La’ori and Wafari Theman William Kamale further showcased the community’s commitment to this important project.
Rev. Victor Sajeh, State Vice Chairman of CAN, delivered an uplifting sermon during this momentous occasion, offering biblical illustrations that encourage generosity and support for the work of God. This event marks a meaningful milestone in the journey of the Numan community, fostering hope and collaboration for the future.
