PROMOTING SELF-RELIANCE: Sen.Binos train and Empower 250 Youths on Solar PV Technologies.

Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe has taken a proactive step to address rising unemployment in Nigeria by training and empowering 250 youths in solar installation, to promote self-reliance.

The training took place in the Numan local government area of Adamawa State, with 27 participants from each of the nine local governments in the Adamawa Senatorial District.

The five-day exercise, conducted in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment, concluded with a ceremony attended by political associates of Senator Binos and well-wishers.

Nine outstanding participants from the local governments were provided with installed solar containers to help them start small-scale businesses, encouraging self-employment instead of relying solely on formal employment opportunities.

Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe highlighted the importance of such training in the current economic climate, emphasizing that it can provide alternative opportunities for youths facing challenges such as economic instability and insecurity.

The senator expressed his satisfaction with the impact of a previous training phase that benefited 50 individuals, leading him to allocate funds in the budget to increase the number of beneficiaries to 250.

He also assured the participants of his commitment to further strengthening such initiatives if they continue to yield positive results.

“When we had the first phase of the training where fifty people benefited and I saw the impact which has given someone an opportunity to work outside Nigeria, I decided to include it in the budget to jack up the number to 250.
Today, I am excited that this is a reality because the government has released funds for it, and the training was done successfully. If we record more success from this training, I will also put my head to work to see how we can further strengthen the exercise”

While the training was funded by the federal government, the solar containers were provided by the senator at a significant cost.

Transportation arrangements were made for the delivery of the containers to the participants’ local governments, and measures were put in place to monitor the progress and growth of the businesses.

” We have concluded arrangements for Transportation to come and move it from here to your local governments, and as part of the mechanism put in place to monitor how you grow, we will register locations where the containers will be installed. I want you to know that this particular project cost me millions of naira which I am still paying, pls do not take this for granted. You can start making your millions from this business and as well contribute to your families and immediate communities”

Professor Ambrose Voh and the Adamawa State Commissioners of Women Affairs and Transportation praised Senator Binos for his impactful representation and transformative initiatives, particularly noting the direct benefits to the masses through projects such as this training program.

Beneficiaries of the training, including Yakisum Zuke, Felix Maigari, and Amina Nasiru, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to utilize their newfound knowledge for the betterment of their state and Nigeria as a whole.
