The Association of Civil Servants Forum, Adamawa State, on Tuesday paid a solidarity visit to the Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Chief Maurice Vunobolki PhD FCA, reaffirming its support for the Vunobolki/Wambai ticket ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The delegation was received by the PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Mahmud Wambai, alongside the Director-General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Adamu Hammantukur Ribadu.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the forum’s leaders, supported by other male and female representatives, pledged their loyalty and commitment to mobilizing civil servants across the state in support of the Vunobolki/Wambai movement. They also requested that their message of solidarity be conveyed to Chief Maurice Vunobolki.
In his remarks, Hon. Ribadu expressed appreciation for the visit, describing civil servants as the backbone of governance and the driving force of public service across every community in Adamawa State. He said a Vunobolki administration would prioritize the welfare, capacity development, and career growth of civil servants through the Human Capital Development pillar of its Nine-Point Strategic Agenda.
He further described Chief Vunobolki as the most experienced and prepared candidate in the race, citing his extensive record in both the public and private sectors, as well as his international development experience, including his work with the World Bank. He assured the delegation that the administration would be guided by a transparent and people-centred reward system.
Responding on behalf of the governorship candidate, Alhaji Wambai thanked the forum for its confidence in the PDP ticket and urged members to remain committed and sincere in their support.
Drawing from his experience as a former lawmaker, traditional leader, and elder statesman, Wambai stressed that the Vunobolki/Wambai team is committed to honest leadership built on integrity rather than empty promises. He assured the delegation that civil servants would play an active role in governance and decision-making under a PDP administration.
He also pledged comprehensive reforms of the Adamawa State Civil Service to enhance efficiency, improve staff welfare, and ensure that no segment of the workforce is left unattended.
