The National Vice Chairman (North East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Mustapha Salihu, PhD, on Thursday led party leaders and stakeholders in Adamawa State to formally endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027 and passed vote of confidence on NSA Ribadu.
Speaking at a high-powered stakeholders’ meeting held in Muna hotel, Jimeta/Yola, Salihu declared the unwavering support of the North East APC for President Tinubu, describing his administration as one committed to economic transformation, institutional reforms, and national stability.
He urged party members to close ranks and consolidate the gains of the last two years under the Tinubu-led government.
The endorsement formed part of a carnival-like event that featured the inauguration of the new state-of-the-art APC Secretariat and a grand rally involving thousands of party loyalists from across the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
The event which marked the June 12 Democracy Day celebration, was a warmed reception as Salihu led the Adamawa APC to officially affirm its loyalty and commitment to Tinubu’s second-term bid.
The party used the event to highlight the successes and achievements of the Tinubu led two years administration and to “confirm and affirm” the endorsement of the National Working Committee of the APC for the President’s re-election.
The ceremony commenced with a solidarity march from Unity Bridge to the new secretariat, as party supporters chanted solidarity songs and waved banners in honour of Tinubu’s leadership and vision for the country.

As part of the activities, the party also celebrates the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for being a worthy Adamawa ambassador that have not let the state and the country down. The APC leadership lauded Ribadu for what it described as “a yeoman’s job” in stabilising the country and restoring Nigeria’s global image through strategic security interventions.
The event also witnessed the defection of several high-profile political figures into the APC. Notable among them were the immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Crowther Seth; prominent businessman and philanthropist, Abdulrahman Haske; former Chief Judge of Adamawa, Justice Ambrose Mamman (rtd); and former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Gibson Nathaniel.
Other prominent figures who spoke at the event included the former Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman; the State APC Chairman, Barr. Shuaibu Idris; and former Governor of Adamawa, Bala James Ngilari.
They commended President Tinubu for his strides in national security, infrastructure development, economic recovery, and educational reforms. The leaders collectively called on Nigerians to exercise patience and rally behind the President as he steers the nation through necessary but tough reforms.
You could recall that Comrade Salihu recently acquired and donated a modern two-storey duplex equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to serve as the APC Adamawa State Secretariat for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election efforts.
The project, which includes a complete renovation of the property, is estimated to have cost over ₦300 million and named; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Adamawa State APC Secretariat.
The gesture is part of Salihu’s broader efforts to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The newly commissioned Secretariat is expected to serve as a hub for party activities, mobilisation, and coordination ahead of the 2027 elections.
