
The Adamawa Television Corporation (ATV) Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has inaugurated its newly elected executives, with Mariya Albert Zira emerging as the new Chairperson.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the News and Current Affairs Department of ATV, was conducted under the leadership of the NUJ Adamawa State Council Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Ibrahim.
Other members of the new executive include Mohammed Ali as Vice Chairman, Tanimo Leneke as Secretary, Hassana Husseini as Financial Secretary, and Saina Bitrus as Auditor.
The ceremony brought together ATV management, journalists and members of the chapel, with speakers emphasizing the need for unity, professionalism and responsible journalism.
Speaking at the event, ATV General Manager, Engineer Mohammed Hamman Bwade, congratulated the new executives and prayed for a successful, peaceful and productive tenure.

The Director of News, ATV, Umar Farouq Isah Shelleng, urged the new leadership to uphold the ethics of journalism, promote teamwork and demonstrate exemplary leadership in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Also speaking, the NUJ Adamawa State Council Social Media Practitioners Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to supporting journalists, particularly in promoting responsible reporting and the use of social media to disseminate accurate and credible information.
