Bishop Mamza Donates Wheelchairs to Fortland Hospital

The Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Stephen Dami Mamza, has donated wheelchairs to Fortland Hospital to support patient care and enhance humanitarian services in the state.

The donation, aimed at improving mobility for patients and strengthening healthcare delivery, was received by a consultant at the hospital, Fashe Joseph, on behalf of the management and staff.

Speaking during the presentation, Bishop Mamza commended Fortland Hospital for its commitment to saving lives, noting that the facility’s humanitarian services inspired his decision to contribute. He described the hospital as one of the leading orthopedic centres in Adamawa State, known for delivering quality surgical care.

The cleric expressed hope that the wheelchairs would be effectively utilized to support patients in need, while urging well-meaning individuals and organizations to continue supporting healthcare institutions.

In his response, Dr. Joseph expressed appreciation to the Bishop and the Catholic Diocese of Yola for the gesture, assuring that the donated items would be used for their intended purpose.

He further acknowledged the Bishop’s longstanding support for the hospital, describing him as instrumental to its growth since inception, and called for the sustenance of such goodwill.
