Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza has encouraged Christians to find inspiration in the sacrificial lives of Saints Peter and Paul, who are recognised as foundational pillars of Christianity.
During his recent pastoral visit to St. Michael Catholic Church in Gywana, situated in the Lamurde local government area, Bishop Mamza delivered this significant message to the congregation.
In his homily, which was centred on the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, the Bishop emphasised their profound impact on the Christian faith, asserting that the religion as it is known today would not exist without their contributions. He urged the faithful to embody their spirit of sacrifice and resilience, motivating all to boldly proclaim the Gospel, even in the face of adversity.

The Bishop expressed his joy in witnessing 353 candidates receive the sacrament of Confirmation, alongside two couples celebrating the sacrament of Marriage. This momentous occasion signifies remarkable growth for St. Michael Catholic Church, Gywana, and serves as a reflection of the overall vitality of the Diocese of Yola.
Bishop Mamza commended the parishioners for their commitment to the growth and development of the church. He expressed hope that the newly confirmed members will actively engage in disseminating the message of Christ, thereby leaving a positive and lasting impact on the community.

The service was characterised by uplifting moments, including prayers and spirited musical performances from various church groups, which further enriched the sense of community and devotion among the congregation
