To streamline the small claims court system in Adamawa, the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman, is preparing to appoint magistrates to facilitate swift justice delivery and alleviate courtroom congestion.
Justice Hafsat unveiled the plans when she received desktop computers and modems from the Adamawa State Action on Business Enabling Reforms office to aid in electronic reforms for the small claims courts.
Thirty-six desktop computers and internet modems were presented to the Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Hafsat Abdul Rahman, by the State’s Action on Business Enabling Reforms office, led by Dr. Bello Abubakar Song.

These technological resources are intended to support nine small claims courts that will be established across the senatorial zones of the state.
Dr. Bello Abubakar Song stressed the importance of the disbursement link indicators for the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms, which focuses on the efficient resolution of commercial disputes.
To achieve this, the courts are expected to produce monthly reports, hence the provision of computers to facilitate their legal responsibilities.

In response, Justice Hafsat Abdul Rahman expressed gratitude for the gesture and pledged to use the systems to expedite the reforms for swift justice delivery.
Dr Ahmed Adamu, the Special Adviser to the Adamawa State Governor on ICT, e-governance, and policy, stated that the electronic reforms in the judiciary align with the developmental policies of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Notably, the Adamawa State Action on Business Enabling Reforms recently provided training to magistrates on the domestication of small claims courts to promote business-friendly reforms that ensure efficiency and financial stability for business owners.
