
Chief Maurice Vunobolki PhD FCA on Thursday joined thousands of faithful at the Adamawa State CAN Independence Day Prayers and Inter-denominational Service held at LCCN Alheri, Yola, to commemorate Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
Speaking at the gathering, Vunobolki stressed that good leadership requires God-fearing, capable and people-centred leaders who uphold integrity and fairness, emphasizing the responsibility of citizens to support and elect leaders with these qualities.
The CAN Chairman, Rev. Dr. Joel Mamzo, called for collective responsibility, unity and renewed commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, citing Jeremiah 27:7 and Psalm 133:1.

Delivering the sermon, Rev. Usuji spoke on “Healing Our Nation through Prayer of Unity, Peace and Prosperity,” urging Nigerians to seek God sincerely for forgiveness and divine intervention, with Romans 8:19 as a reference.
The service concluded with prayers for the healing, peace and prosperity of Nigeria.
Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Edgar Amos, Chief of Staff, Government House, who represented Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri; Adamu Kamale; Kate Mamuno; and other distinguished guests.
