Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated Muslims in the state, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Governor Fintiri described the birth of the Prophet as a moment of mercy, guidance and light to humanity, urging Muslims and other residents to draw inspiration from his teachings and exemplary life.
The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, said the Prophet’s virtues of peace, compassion, tolerance, honesty, humility and selfless service remain relevant to society.
He called on citizens to emulate the Prophet’s commitment to forgiveness, justice, sacrifice and love for one another, saying such values were essential to strengthening unity and peaceful coexistence in the state.
Governor Fintiri also urged Muslims and other residents to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity and prosperity in Adamawa State and Nigeria, particularly as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
He assured citizens that his administration remained committed to providing leadership focused on security and welfare, while urging them to support government policies and shun acts capable of undermining peace.
The Governor further called for peaceful coexistence among residents irrespective of religious, ethnic or social differences, stressing that unity remained critical to the development of the state.
He wished the Muslim faithful a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, praying that the occasion would usher in renewed hope, progress and development for Adamawa State
