
The outgoing Chairman of Numan Local Government Area, Hon. Innocent Koto, has expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the confidence reposed in him by allowing him to serve two consecutive terms as Chairman of the council.
In a statement made available to journalists in Yola, Koto described the opportunity to lead the local government as a rare privilege that enabled him to contribute meaningfully to the development and wellbeing of the people of Numan.
He commended Governor Fintiri for his commitment to grassroots development, describing him as a leader whose administration has consistently prioritized the welfare and progress of the people of Adamawa State.
The outgoing chairman also appreciated the member representing Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Barrister Kwamoti Bitrus La’ori, as well as the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, for their guidance, encouragement and support throughout his tenure.
Koto equally acknowledged the Hama Bachama, Dr. Daniel Isma’ila Shaga, thanking the traditional ruler for his invaluable support, wise counsel and leadership, which he said contributed significantly to the successful execution of several developmental projects in Numan Local Government Area.
He further expressed appreciation to the people of Numan, religious leaders, community stakeholders and all those who supported his administration with constructive advice and cooperation during his years in office.
As his tenure comes to an end, Hon. Koto pledged his continued commitment to the progress of Numan, assuring the incoming administration of his readiness to offer every necessary support and guidance to ensure continuity in governance and sustained development for the benefit of the people.
