Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima on his retention as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri described the APC’s decision to retain the Tinubu-Shettima ticket as a vote of confidence in the leadership, experience and commitment of the two leaders, who secured victory for the party in the 2023 presidential election.
The governor said the Vice President’s retention reflects the trust reposed in him by President Tinubu and the leadership of the APC, noting that it also recognises his loyalty, competence and dedication to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Governor Fintiri commended Shettima’s contributions to governance since assuming office, describing him as a statesman, bridge-builder and committed public servant whose efforts toward national cohesion and effective policy implementation have earned widespread recognition.
He expressed confidence that the Vice President would continue to leverage his experience as a former two-term Governor of Borno State and Nigeria’s Vice President to advance the country’s development.
The governor also prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health and strength for Senator Shettima as he continues to serve the nation.
