The Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda, has commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for prioritizing education, leading to excellent student performance in this year’s WASCE.
Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda made this known when he received the BESDA Phase Two steering committee team, led by the Commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development, Doctor Umar Garba Pella, in his palace.
Alhaji Sanda emphasized the importance of education, thanking Governor Fintiri for his support and urging him to sustain the momentum.
The Paramount ruler then pledged his support to ensure that the BESDA Phase Two program reaches all targeted individuals in his chiefdom to achieve its purpose of improving education in the state.
Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda also encouraged his subjects to pursue education, stressing that it is essential for progress.
Speaking Earlier, Doctor Umar Garba Pella, represented by Permanent Secretary Hajiya Aisha Umar, sought Alhaji Sanda’s support for the BESDA Phase Two program and highlighted Governor Fintiri’s priority on education.
The commissioner of Education and human capital development further solicited the royal father’s help in enlightening his people on the program’s importance and urged them to take advantage of the initiative.
Doctor Pella explained that BESDA phase two is a program designed for children at the grassroots, particularly the Almajiri children, irrespective of their tribal or religious beliefs.
