A House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the Labour Party, Hon. Sarauta Luka, has vowed to provide inclusive representation, promote unity, and champion people-oriented development if elected to represent Song/Fufore Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
Sarauta, a businessman and grassroots politician, disclosed this while speaking with journalists, saying his decision to contest followed persistent appeals from residents across the constituency who have confidence in his leadership and track record of community service.
He said his years of active participation in politics saw him mobilise support and campaign for several candidates seeking elective offices, but regretted that his efforts did not translate into tangible dividends for the people of the constituency.
According to him, the experience strengthened his resolve to seek elective office in order to directly influence policies and attract meaningful development to Song and Fufore communities.
The aspirant pledged to uphold justice, fairness, and equal representation for all segments of the constituency, irrespective of religion or ethnic background, stressing that peaceful coexistence and unity would be the foundation of his legislative agenda.

He said he would sponsor and support bills that promote national cohesion while addressing the developmental needs of his constituents through effective legislation and oversight.
Sarauta also promised to prioritise youth and women empowerment, support for the elderly, and initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities and improving the standard of living across the constituency.
He appealed to eligible voters to support the Labour Party and give him the mandate to serve, assuring them of accessible, transparent, and responsive representation in the National Assembly.
