The US has deployed a guided missile submarine and expedited the journey of an aircraft carrier to the Middle East due to escalating tensions.

This comes in response to the recent assassinations of senior Hezbollah and Hamas leaders, raising fears of a broader regional conflict.

The US aims to defend Israel from potential attacks by Iran and is closely monitoring Iran’s response to the assassination of Hamas’s top political leader, Ismail Haniyeh.

The USS Georgia submarine and the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, carrying F-35C fighter jets, have been deployed to the region. The move is also in response to the potential threats posed by Hezbollah in Lebanon.
