Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, who represents Adamawa South, has reaffirmed his commitment to correcting all clerical errors identified by the presidency in the bill to establish the Federal University of Education in Numan.
He stated that the bill was not entirely rejected; rather, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu requested corrections to ensure accuracy in the proposed law for the teacher-training institution.
During a stakeholder feedback meeting held in the Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area, Binos outlined his achievements and received commendations and suggestions from constituents.
The second-term senator explained that all identified mistakes in the bill would be promptly corrected and resubmitted to the president as soon as the Senate reconvenes.
“The president pointed out certain errors in the bill that needed to comply with the constitution. For instance, we mistakenly assigned the power to grant land authority to the governor instead of the president, who is the rightful visitor for the institution. We will rectify this error by replacing the governor with the president in the bill,” Binos noted.
While detailing his accomplishments, Binos mentioned that he has personally funded the drilling of over thirty boreholes. Additionally, he has provided free healthcare services, sponsored bills aimed at benefiting all Nigerians, facilitated infrastructural development, awarded scholarships, and empowered farmers.
His initiatives also include training youth in solar installations and addressing power supply issues, particularly the procurement of transformers for various locations within the senatorial district, along with creating job opportunities for young people.
“Essentially, when you elect a representative to the National Assembly, it is important to report back to the people about what you are doing, what you have achieved, and your future plans,” Binos stated. He added, “I convened this meeting to share my successes and to take note of all the observations, advice, and encouragement offered by my constituents.”

During the meeting, Adamawa State Commissioner of Entrepreneurship Hamanjumba Gatugel, along with retired permanent secretaries and local leaders, praised Senator Binos for his sincerity and genuine efforts to foster development in the southern senatorial district. They took the time to offer encouragement, advice, and prayers for the senator during this non-partisan gathering.
