The Chairman of Numan Local Government Area, Hon. Innocent Koto, has charged the newly inaugurated executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Numan to demonstrate commitment, unity, and dedication as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
The colourful inauguration ceremony, held at the Numan Local Government Secretariat, attracted several dignitaries including the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Neido Geoffrey Kofulto, and other notable party stakeholders from the area.
The swearing-in exercise was supervised by the PDP Zonal Vice Chairman (North), Hon. Stephen Doma, alongside other prominent personalities.
In his remarks, Hon. Koto described the election that produced the new executives as transparent and credible, in line with the directive of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State.
He commended party leaders and stakeholders from Numan, including the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, Member representing Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency, Hon. Kwamoti La’ori, and Member representing Numan in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Pwamwakaino Makondo, for ensuring a peaceful and transparent process.
“Do not see your election as an opportunity for celebration alone, but as a call to service,” Hon. Koto urged. “We are heading towards the 2027 general elections, and it is time to work collectively to ensure that the PDP retains power.”
He further called on the new executives to return to the grassroots, mobilize support, and canvass for new members to strengthen the party’s base ahead of the next polls.
Hon. Koto also commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his developmental strides across the state, which he said have continued to keep the PDP strong and popular among the people.
He reaffirmed his loyalty and support to the new local government executives, pledging to work closely with them to maintain the party’s dominance and ensure victory in future elections within Numan Local Government Area.
