In her opening remarks, the Executive Director, Mrs. Galaxy Thami, welcomed participants and encouraged them to fully engage with the training, emphasizing that the purpose is to strengthen their capacities. She urged participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained effectively in their roles, expressing her confidence in their continued professional growth. Mrs. Thami also reaffirmed HARAF’s commitment to the ongoing capacity development of its staff as a key organizational policy.
The training was facilitated by a combination of in-house experts and external consultants, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
The Director of Grants and Operations, Daniel Akila, highlighted HARAF’s commitment to investing in professional development for its staff to enhance their capacity, ensuring excellence and efficiency in delivering services across all project implementations.
The Head of Programs, Abel Bake, engaged participants daily, emphasizing that the training aims to strengthen HARAF’s ability to better serve vulnerable communities, beneficiaries, partners, and donors through improved performance and contribute meaningfully to HARAF’s mission.
Speaking to participants, all echoed the timeliness and efficacy of the training programme and promised to make the most use of the knowledge learned and skills acquired.
The uniqueness of the Capacity Building is that it includes moments of refreshments and games to ease the fatigue of the day-long rigorous training session. The 3 days of capacity building ended with a sack race, badminton, football and a barbecue.
