The Adamawa State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Chief Felix Tangwami, has formally received a state-of-the-art CT scan machine, which represents a significant advancement in the enhancement of diagnostic capabilities within the state’s healthcare system.
The Computerized Tomography (CT) scan has been procured by the Adamawa State Government for installation at the Specialists Hospital in Yola.
During the reception, Chief Tangwami, accompanied by the Medical Director of the Specialists Hospital, Dr. Dauda Wadinga, as well as other senior staff members, underscored the government’s commitment to the enhancement of medical services for its citizens.

The Commissioner noted that this acquisition is part of a broader initiative led by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration to invest in the healthcare sector.
“This machine will be installed in Yola, while we concurrently work on arranging for another unit to be installed at the Numan General Hospital. Our comprehensive plan aims to ensure that every healthcare facility is adequately equipped to meet the medical needs of our population,” stated Tangwami.
He further remarked, “The new CT scan machine is anticipated to significantly enhance the capacity of the Specialists Hospital in Yola to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions.”

Tangwami emphasized that this development aligns with the state’s ongoing efforts to upgrade healthcare infrastructure and deliver high-quality medical services to the residents of Adamawa.
“The installation process will commence shortly, as all personnel involved are currently on-site,” Tangwami elaborated.

These coordinated efforts reflect the administration’s commitment to addressing healthcare challenges and improving the overall well-being of its citizenry.
