The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, has urged the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education (FCE) Yola to employ more indigenes from Adamawa.
During a courtesy visit from the coucil, led by Chairman Engineer Saheed Johnson Olajide, Professor Farauta stressed the importance of prioritizing employment opportunities for residents.
She noted that approximately 90% of the college’s students are from Adamawa State and emphasized that the state government, under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, is dedicated to supporting education at all levels.
Professor Farauta called on the council to focus on hiring indigenes from the 21 local government areas within the state.
The delegation included Provost Dr. Mohammed Dageriji and Registrar Aisha Kabir. Professor Farauta expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri for his ongoing support of the college, despite it being a federal institution, and they look forward to strengthening their partnership with the state government.
