The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Afolabi Babatola, who oversees Zone Three, has formally decorated Muawiya Halilu as a newly promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), along with several other officers who have received promotions to various ranks.
The decoration ceremony was conducted at the zonal office in Yola, where AIG Afolabi emphasized the importance of upholding professionalism by the laws governing police operations among the newly promoted officers.
Attendees of the event included the families and friends of the personnel recently promoted within Zone Three.
During the ceremony, AIG Afolabi commended DCP Muawiya Halilu for his significant contributions to the police force.
He acknowledged the ongoing reforms within the police system and reiterated that promotions, such as Halilu’s advancement from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), are awarded based on merit.
