The Chairman of the Adamawa State House of Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information, Hon. Musa Mahmud Kallamu, has refuted circulating social media reports alleging that each member received ₦100 million in Developmental Projects from the 2025 approved budget by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Hon. Kallamu made this known in a telephone interview with state Assembly correspondents on Tuesday, describing the report as baseless.

According to him, the claims are entirely false and misleading, adding that Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri approved funds strictly for community development projects across the state’s 25 constituencies.

Hon. Kallamu, who is among the ranking members of the 8th Assembly, stated that the community development fund was not allocated to the members; instead, it was released to state ministries and agencies that would execute the projects as cited by the members.

The spokesman of the House further explained that the money is not in the personal accounts of the Legislators, but in the accounts of various ministries, which, after due process, will award a contract for the execution of constituency projects to various companies for further action.

He said, no Assembly member will have access to the funds on a personal basis, but will only forward lists of projects of their choice and their location for execution by the relevant ministries, insisting that the only role every member will play is to supervise to ensure that a quality job is carried out.

“Individuals’ claims of ₦100 million payouts to Assembly members are unfounded and inaccurate as projects are intended for broader community development initiatives across Adamawa State, not individual allocations to constituencies or lawmakers,” He said.

Kallamu while appreciating the cordial working relationship existing between the 8th Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley and State Executive Arm Under the FRESH AIR Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri described them as visionary and focused leaders.

He specifically saluted Governor Fintiri for approving the funds for the execution of developmental projects in their various constituencies, saying this will enable them to fulfil some of their campaign promises to their people.

He urged people of the state to disregard the misleading and false information circulating, saying that Fresh Air Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s initiatives are always targeting progress and the welfare of citizens across Adamawa’s communities.

He lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for considering the plight of people at the grassroots level, describing it as “people-oriented policies and programs”.
